Durafold 1000 Slimline Colour Options

There products are coated with a durable polyester powder coat paint, baked onto the aluminium for longevity. They use only approved Polyester Powder Coat Specialists, allowing us to offer a ten-year guarantee. This high-quality finish is low maintenance, requiring just an occasional sponge down.

Durafold 1000 Slimline Glazing Options

The Durafold 1000 Slimline accommodates 28mm and 28.8mm units. They also offer the option to supply the products unglazed, allowing you to source your glass independently. The choice of glass will depend on the specific project requirements, compliance with Building Regulations, and personal preferences regarding security, privacy, and thermal efficiency.

Our standard double-glazed units feature:

Durafold 1000 Slimline Traffic Doors

Traffic doors provide outside access and must be highly secure. There Traffic Doors come standard with the latest high-security multipoint locking system.

Locking Mechanism: Operated by a lever-lever handle, featuring six locking points. Two deep throw hook locks secure into the outer frame, ensuring the doors cannot be pulled open even if the intermediate shoot bolts are not engaged. Additionally, a standard latch, deadbolt, and two adjustable roller cams at the top and bottom pull the doors tight, providing excellent weather resistance.
Double Traffic Doors: These have a master and a slave door. The master door includes the locking system described above and locks into keeps on the slave door. The slave door has additional shoot bolt locking at the top and bottom, operated by a lockable Pendulum Handle. Note that traffic doors with Pendulum handles operate the same shoot bolt lock.

Durafold 1000 Slimline Locking Cylinders

The weakest point of a locking system is often the locking cylinder. There doors use advanced locking cylinders that go beyond standard euro cylinders. These cylinders are pick-resistant, bump-resistant, and drill-resistant.

They also feature a sacrificial break slot, which helps maintain security even if the cylinder is snapped. We provide these high-security, superior locking cylinders as standard.

Durafold 1000 Slimline Intermediate Handles

Although intermediate handles are typically located inside, they all come with a key locking facility as standard. This allows you to lock the handle from the inside, similar to how you would secure your windows, providing added peace of mind. This feature is particularly useful for bifold door styles without a traffic door or outside access.

All intermediate handle cylinders can be keyed alike, so you only need one key to operate every intermediate handle on your bifold doors. However, since traffic doors and outside access doors use a superior locking cylinder, a separate key will always be required for these doors.

Durafold 1000 Slimline Heavy Duty Shoot Bolts

Heavy-duty shoot bolts secure the door at the top and bottom of each intermediate panel, operated by a pendulum handle. These bolts are specially designed to provide a tight fit, ensuring maximum compression for enhanced weather performance.

They are chamfered for smooth, easy engagement when securing the panels into the outer frame.

These shoot bolts firmly secure the doors in place, creating a solid barrier against forced entry.

Durafold 1000 Slimline Bogie Wheel Assemblies

The bogie wheel assemblies feature a dedicated guide that runs inside the channel of the outer frame, both at the top and bottom of the doors.

This guide enhances the doors’ strength and stability while providing anti-jemmy security, preventing the folding panels from being forced or levered off the track.

This cleverly designed guide protects against forced entry and ensures the doors remain stable and operate smoothly.

Durafold 1000 Slimline Glass Options

There Bi-folding Doors come standard with toughened safety glass. The sealed units are internally glazed with a high-security glazing bead, enhancing both security and ease of installation.

Since the sealed units are installed internally, they can only be removed from inside the property. For additional strength and security, you can upgrade to 6mm laminated security glass at an extra cost.
